Bill is a Chicago native who began his career with the Chicago Sun-Times and Daily News. He began his radio career in Atlanta, moving in 1980 to Tallahassee as General Manager of a newly launched radio station. His success there led to an opportunity to manage two highly rated New Orleans stations and later to Birmingham to manage WMJJ and WERC. He soon became a Group VP and took on additional responsibilities for the company’s Nashville station and the Alabama Radio Network.
In 1994, Bill became Associate Publisher of the city’s premier business periodical, the Birmingham Business Journal (BBJ). Under his leadership, the BBJ evolved from a monthly magazine to a weekly newspaper. In 1997, he helped the parent company launch the city’s first weekly alternative newspaper, Birmingham Weekly.
In 1998, Bill decided to start his own marketing and advertising firm, Creative Strategies, which later merged with STYLE Advertising in 2000. Bill and his business partner bought full controlling interest of the agency in 2003.
Bill has served on the Board of Directors and as President of the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the Sales & Marketing Executives of Birmingham. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Aldridge Gardens and the American Marketing Association-Birmingham Chapter.
Outside of his professional life, Bill has donated his time and service to many non-profit efforts including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Crisis Center where he was named “Volunteer of the Year” in 2010.
Bill is a 1969 graduate of Cornell University and received his master’s degree in Radio and TV from Michigan State University in 1971.

Chuck Cargal’s extensive career has spanned both the sales and agency side of the media business with a specialty in account management.
Chuck began his career in radio after graduating from The University of Alabama. He worked with two radio groups, specifically Capital Broadcasting, in various roles and capacities for 13 successful years of his career. During this time, Chuck earned his Certified Radio Marketing Consultant (CRMC) designation and, among many awards and honors, was chosen as one of Birmingham’s top sales /marketing consultants by the Birmingham Business Journal.
Chuck transitioned to television account management with Sinclair Broadcasting and then pursued print, helping to launch the Birmingham Weekly. During this time, Chuck and Bill Stoeffhaas formed their partnership and together decided to pursue the agency business in 1998.
Chuck is an active member of the Birmingham Advertising Federation, is a past member of the Virginia College media board and is involved with numerous local charities.

Audrey Pannell currently serves as the director of public relations and social media, where she develops, coordinates and executes public relations, marketing and social media campaigns and also serves as a liaison between the media and a wide array of clients in all industry sectors. She has crafted campaigns for leading and emerging brands including Fortune 500 companies, government entities, law firms, non-profit organizations associations and new businesses. Audrey brings an edge to client campaigns with her firm understanding of the impact of social media techniques in developing and implementing public relations and marketing campaigns.
Prior to STYLE, Audrey was the Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator for another local public relations firm, where she created numerous public relations and marketing campaigns for a wide array of clients and led the agency in its social media implementation and development.
Outside of the office, Audrey is heavily involved in the community serving as board member and public relations chair for both the Young Professionals of Birmingham and also the Junior Board of the Autism Society of Alabama. In addition, Audrey is a member of the Rotaract Club of Birmingham and the Public Relations Society of Alabama. She is also a contributor for The Pillars LLC, an online magazine highlighting Birmingham’s most remarkable businesses, people and cultural offerings. Audrey was also named Ms. Young Hot Birmingham Professional 2010 by the Young Professionals of Birmingham for her philanthropic efforts in raising more than $5,400 for the Autism Society of Alabama.
Audrey received her bachelor of arts in public relations and minor in business administration from Auburn University in 2009 graduating with cum laude honors.

Jamie Brooks received a Bachelor of Science in public relations and a minor in marketing from the University of North Alabama, where she graduated summa cum laude. During undergrad, Jamie served as president of Lambda Pi Eta Communications Honor Society and the Mock Trial Association. She was also chairperson of the grant writing committee for UNA PRCA/PRSSA, a Student Government Association senator and public relations committee member, a member of the Honors Program and a writer for the university’s student newspaper. Jamie also represented UNA at the 2011 National Collegiate Honors Conference where she presented her extensive research on the benefits of social media use in an organization.
Jamie is also founder of her own non-profit community organization, Dare to Discuss: AIDS Awareness and Advocacy. Since starting Dare to Discuss, Jamie has organized numerous fundraisers and awareness events, raised over $5,000 for area AIDS organizations and has implemented her educational program in hundreds of classrooms. Jamie, through her work with Dare to Discuss, has been recognized as a recipient of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, recipient of Daily Point of Light Award #4615 and a Miss Alabama Community Service Finalist.

Lawanda Baker earned her Bachelor of Arts in graphic design from Middle Tennessee State University. Upon graduation, she lent her graphic design skills to several groups in the Memphis Tenn., area including ALSAC – St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, for which her work was awarded the Public Relations Society of America’s VOX award for three consecutive years.
Lawanda relocated to Atlanta and worked for several agencies as well as for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She returned to her home state to work with her alma mater, MTSU. In this role, Lawanda earned several awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education District III (CASE III) as well as first place in the American Library Association National Design Competition.
She has been employed as STYLE Advertising’s creative director since January 2005 where she’s developed creative campaigns for Haskell Slaughter Young & Rediker, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, TALA Professional Services and the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce, among others.

Sean McDonald, has extensive knowledge and experience designing and developing interactive online content ranging from websites, custom CMS systems and within social media platforms. He graduated with various academic and leadership honors from Louisiana State University and Full Sail University where his studies included Business Communications and Digital Media.
Serving a dual role as marketing director and web master for multiple clients, he has developed an eye for design, advertisements, collateral materials and promotional products while maintaining the company’s website and online marketing campaigns.

Lena provides inventive graphic design concepts. Her design skills cover an array of specialties, including branding, web design and advertising campaigns.
She has industry experience that is specific for healthcare providers, non-profit organizations, and law firms across the United States. She is a member of CADC and uses additional time to stretch her creativity in both fine art and photography.
She is a 2005 graduate of Birmingham’s prestigious Samford University, from which she won two first place Samford juried graphic design awards in 2005 for Photography and Content Design. Of recent, she has placed twice in the top 10 and has received multiple editor picks in Minted’s national design challenges.

Erin Adair has been with STYLE since 2002 and serves as senior media buyer and leader of the agency’s media team. Erin has more than six years experience as a marketing account representative and media buyer and she excels at getting the most value for clients’ advertising dollars.
Erin is proficient in the planning, negotiation and placement of efficient and effective media buys for all media forms including television, radio, print media, outdoor and search and web advertising.

A Birmingham native, Gus came to the agency from Chicago where he serves as Business Development Director, executing new business development strategy, managing special projects and developing marketing, communications and revenue growth initiatives for the agency’s strategic client partnerships. Some of his happy clients include Tomaras Investments, the Chicago law firm of Bellas & Wachowski, City of Hoover / Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce and former Secretary of State and Commissioner of Labor- AL, Jim Bennett.
Prior to joining Style, Gus served in key business development and marketing roles on the client, agency and media side with Land Rover, Group 480, ESPN / B.A.S.S. and Delta Air Lines domestic and transatlantic in-flight magazines, SKY & The Delta International Story. Working with blue chip brands, professional service firms and companies across all categories, he helped them increase revenues and enhance their image through integrated marketing, business development coaching, branding, traditional, digital & social media, interactive communications (including Web and e-mail), CRM, proposals, collateral, events, trade shows, public relations, sponsorships and fundraising.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Gus donates time to various local charities and is actively involved in Birmingham area professional, business and civic organizations including the American Marketing Association and Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce.
Lauren Ziegler, Public Relations & Communications
Originally from Orlando, Fla., Lauren Ziegler graduated from Auburn University in December 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. As a former intern at STYLE, Lauren has re-joined the public relations team to serve as public relations and communications coordinator. During her undergrad, Lauren worked on the Auburn University Public Relations Council of Alabama (AUPRCA) helping bring community attention to philanthropic events on campus.
She also represented her alma mater by serving on the public relations and social media team, where she helped implement Auburn’s first Campus Kitchen Project (CPK), a student-led organization that donates surplus food from local restaurants to those in need in the community. As the newest member of the STYLE family, Lauren intends to use her strong writing and social media skills to assist the more than 40 public relations clients.
Lauren Cherry, Intern

Lauren is a senior at Samford University. She is currently pursuing a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications with a double concentration in PR and Advertising and a minor in visual persuasion and design. She will graduate in May of 2013.
At Samford, she is involved with The Samford Crimson. She has previously served as the advertising manager and works as a photographer. Lauren is also involved with her sorority and served as the historian where she created monthly newsletters. She works with the theatre department at Samford and assists with both scenic and costume design. She loves to spend her time taking photographs, doing arts and crafts and visiting an orphanage in Cozumel, Mexico that her family helps to support.
After graduation, Lauren hopes to return home to Atlanta and work for an advertising agency for a few years. Eventually she would like to move to New York and work in the catalog department for a fashion company.
JaQuisha Hudson, Intern

JaQuisha Hudson
JaQuisha Hudson is currently a senior at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) with a major in public relations and minor in marketing. She has served as Firm Director of UAB Public Relations Student Society of Alabama for two years. JaQuisha has been a Resident Assistant for Blazer Hall for the last three years. Her hobbies include reading and crocheting.
JaQuisha interned at Sloss Furnaces National Historical Landmark last summer. She is looking forward to graduating May 2013. She hopes to pursue a career in public relations.
