STYLE Advertising’s Lawanda Baker Wins American Marketing Association’s National Logo Competition

75th Anniversary AMA Logo

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – STYLE Advertising, a full-service advertising, marketing and public relations firm, is pleased to announce that its senior art director, Lawanda Baker, was selected as the winner of the American Marketing Association’s (AMA) national logo design contest for its 75th anniversary.

Submitted by the Birmingham AMA Chapter, Baker’s design was chosen by a volunteer judging panel to represent AMA during this milestone year.  In the coming months, this logo will be used in conjunction with the AMA logo to represent the AMA’s 75-year history at AMA conferences, on MarketingPower.com and by local AMA Chapters.

“I am very honored that the judges recognized and chose my logo design to represent AMA in its 75th year,” says Baker. “I am also proud that the design will bring national exposure to the Birmingham Chapter of AMA. We have a lot of creative talent in our chapter here that definitely deserves exposure, and I am glad that I have a small hand in bringing our local chapter to the forefront.”

In June, months before AMA’s 75th anniversary, the organization sent out a call for entries encouraging members throughout the nation to submit new logo design ideas to celebrate the anniversary. Although there were countless entries and top-of-the-line talent shown in the work submitted, the volunteer panel of judges was only able to pick one.

“STYLE Advertising is so proud of Lawanda for bringing this great honor and recognition to our agency and to the Birmingham AMA chapter,” says Bill Stoeffhaas, owner/partner of STYLE Advertising.  “Winning a national competition like this proves that we have the talent right here in Birmingham to compete with anyone at any level.”     Continue reading “STYLE Advertising’s Lawanda Baker Wins American Marketing Association’s National Logo Competition” »
